The Verge offers an impossibly detailed account of how and why “Call Me Maybe” is an unironically great song, with excellent gifs and several giggle-inducing uses of the hedging “maybe.”
Your humble hosts are not sure about the song’s capital-g Greatness, but we love the music video’s queering of romance tropes, and we admit that we do know all the words. (That was Amanda. Ivan has studied too much music theory and is kind of obsessed with how perfectly the song is put together.)
