Subsidiarity is not the bulwark of limited government, necessarily. It is a principle that guides all levels of government to operate appropriately and in right order, so as to promote the common good.
Richard Gallenstein at the delightfully grumpy Distributist Review is sick of your crap, especially that thing where you equate Catholic subsidiarity with libertarianism. Cut that out. Do you know about Catholic social teaching and subsidiarity and distributism? It’s fascinating. Go on and read about it.
We especially like Gallenstein’s bio: “he now lives and works on an urban farm in a low income neighborhood right outside of downtown Columbus.” Swoon!
