Debate Night!
It’s that time of year again, y’all: the presidential candidates face off for the first time tonight. You can watch on any TV station or online at YouTube’s election hub.
Either way, charge your laptops and phones, and keep Twitter open as you watch. Tonight Ivan and Amanda will be doing what we do best: bantering live on Twitter for your enjoyment. Follow both of us for maximum enjoyment, and play along with the hashtag #banter2012!
So, how to prepare? You can read ProPublica’s collection of 11 Key Reads on the Economy, print your Debate Bingo Cards courtesy of Mother Jones (frankly!), choose one of the many debate drinking games, hear what moderator Jim Lehrer has to say about his expectations, and speculate if the debates will matter at all.
